Yes, for straightforward cases. Once the tooth is prepared, we scan it, design the crown on screen, mill it in our office, and deliver it the same appointment. You leave with the permanent crown seated, no temporary, no second visit. Not every case qualifies: complex preparations, teeth that need a specific material we do not mill in-house, or cases involving multiple restorations may still take two appointments. Our team tells you at the preparation visit whether same-day applies to your case.
Yes. With in-house CAD/CAM milling and 3D printing, many crowns, surgical guides, and restorations are designed and produced right here in Harlan, which can mean fewer appointments and a precise fit, without sending work to an outside lab.
A standard dental X-ray produces a flat, two-dimensional image. It shows the teeth and some surrounding bone but compresses the depth of the anatomy into a single plane. A CBCT scan produces a three-dimensional model of the teeth, bone, nerve canals, and sinus cavities that can be rotated and viewed from any angle. The 3D model shows relationships between structures that simply do not appear on a 2D X-ray, which is why it is essential for implant planning and complex surgical cases. A CBCT (cone-beam CT) is a low-dose 3D X-ray that shows your bone, nerves, and sinuses in detail. We use it to plan dental implants, evaluate bone for full-arch and zygomatic cases, assess wisdom teeth, and diagnose problems a flat X-ray can miss.
The radiation dose from a dental CBCT scan is generally much lower than a medical CT scan and depends on the field of view and settings used. Our team orders a CBCT only when the 3D information it provides would meaningfully change how we plan or deliver treatment. It is not ordered for every patient. In-house milling, 3D printing, and lab work can reduce outside lab involvement and help shorten timelines for certain treatments. Same-day crowns may reduce the number of appointments for qualifying cases.
